During our facial, a Japanese Konjac  Sponge is used that you will take home with you and continue to enjoy the benefits of. Konjac has long been regarded for its health and medicinal properties.  When made into a sponge, it has a natural ability to break down dirt and promote circulation for beautiful skin.  When hydrated, these natural sponges become exceptionally soft, yet gently exfoliating, while creating a perfect pH-balance on the surface of the skin.  Konjac root is also known as elephant yam  and is a 100% plant-based cleansing tool.  It is widely used in Japan as a vegetable or dried out and made into a cleansing sponge.  When addressing the face with these sponges, we see radiant natural beauty emerge, especially, when used daily.  There are two types of sponges:

The Organic Seaweed Facial is suitable for all skin types, especially, aging, oily and congested skin. This most feminine area may be dry and sun-damaged from less daily care. We incorporate a soft brush cleansing to this area followed by the same steps we use in a facial. You will see immediate softness and enhanced beauty to this most lovely area.

Dry Body Brush Treatment

We gently but vigorously brush the arms/hands, stomach, legs/feet.  The exfoliated skin cells are lifted off with warm lavender soaked cloths.  You will then turn over in order to brush the back, buttocks, and legs. This exfoliation process aids in new cell renewal and overall circulation. After exfoliation, you will be massaged with organic coconut oil to moisturize and give your precious skin such a beautiful, velvety and glowing softness to the skin.  At the end of your treatment, you leave with your dry body brush to continue with this wellness ritual each day.

Getting Ready For Your Soul Retreat Facial Experience!

If possible, please come with a make-up free face, otherwise, we will be happy to remove it for you.

We ask our male client’s to please shave before coming for a facial.

It is respectfully requested that you come perfume free, to fully experience the inhalation and penetration of the essential oils.

You may want to leave all jewelry at home, otherwise, we will have an area for you to place necklaces, bracelets, earring, rings, and other personal belongings.

A consultation will be conducted in order to serve you best.

In order to protect your clothing and be free to experience the different modalities of massage, woman will be asked to remove their shirt and bra. You will be given a towel wrap to wear. Men will be asked to remove their shirt and drape yourself beneath a sheet/towel.

Please let us know if you do not want to get your hair wet, so that in addition to a disposable headband (please feel free to take it home with you as an aid to keeping your hair back as you wash your face) we will also supply you with a shower cap.

You will be lying face up on a plush heated massage table with various bolsters (pillows) to increase your comfort level.

Getting Ready For Your Soul Retreat Massage Experience!

If at all possible, kindly come free of all makeup (though it is not an issue if you have makeup on.)

It is respectfully requested that you come perfume free, to fully experience the inhalation and penetration of the massage creams/oils and/or essential oils. We will have a place to put all personal belongings.

A consultation will be conducted in order to serve you best.

In order to address areas of the hip and lower back area, you will be asked to remove all of your clothing (or whatever you feel comfortable removing) and completely drape yourself from the neck to the toes, lying face up, underneath the towel/sheet provided for you on the massage table.

Please note that you will never be inappropriately exposed at any time during the massage treatment. You will be completely safe, tucked in and covered throughout the massage.

(In AMMA massage, you should wear loose clothing and they remain on for the duration of the treatment).

Throughout the massage session, you should let yourself relax and don’t feel as if you must converse. You are not expected to move a muscle during your treatment. You should feel loose and limp lying on the table. Please feel free to drift away and allow sleep.

Massage strokes will be performed on you on a plush heated massage table with various bolsters (pillows) to increase your comfort level and then you will be asked to turn over completely covered.
